Loan Application Process
If financing is needed, Darling Solar assists with loans through banks/NBFCs, handles documentation and manages subsidy applications—ensuring a hassle-free process for customers.

Installation of Solar Panels

Apply for Net Meter
An application is submitted to the state’s Electricity Board for a bi-directional net meter to track both consumed and surplus power.

Project Commissioning
After installation approval from the electricity board, the system is activated and synchronized with the grid.
Step 8
Subsidy Disbursement
After installation and system activation, the approved Central Government subsidy is processed within the next 30 days and credited directly to the customer’s bank account.

Maintenance (AMC) and Support

Customers who pay more than 1500 rupees in EB and have an own independent house can ideally go for Solar.
Is Bank loan available for Solar?
Yes. Customers with a healthy CIBIL score can avail loan at all eligible banks at just 6.5% rate of interest. You can also purchase your Solar System in special 5 year EMI plan available in all Darling stores in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. (Subject to NBFC eligibility and CIBIL score)
What is the life of Solar Panels ?
Under suitable conditions, Performance of Solar Panel can last upto 25 – 30 years.
Can Solar generate electricity in night ?
No. To generate electricity through Solar Panel, sunshine is required. Excess electricity generated during the day, is transferred to Government’s electricity grid and that power from the grid can be used at night. Net meter installed in home calculates amount of electricity transferred and taken back from grid. Government will charge for excess electricity used, if any, from the Grid.
